The customer was looking for:

Though highly successful in their industry, our customer (wishing to remain anonymous) was looking to better manage their cross-border procurements from US vendors and their shipments to the end customer. They also wanted to increase visibility over their operations in order to make more sound financial decisions.

With no resource available to provide company-wide metrics, compare carrier rates, or help them manage their supply chain, it was clear which solution they needed.

After a thorough assessment of our customer’s situation, challenges and needs, we created a step-by-step plan. First up was to provide access and training to our proprietary Transportation Management System (TMS). The real-time information led to better rate comparisions, carrier selection and route optimization – plus the option to quote, book and track shipments online.

Next, we tackled cross-border procurement and end-consumer shipments with a suite of added services. This included carrier and contract managements, freight bill and audit pay, and almost $7 million in spend management.

As a result of our Transborder Road Logistics service, our customer went from feeling overwhelmed to confident. They improved overall on-time deliveries of their main product by 44%, lowered their freight spend and total costs by 18%, and increased overall efficiency of their operations.

Now successful, they were making better key financial decisions with more visibility, and managing their carriers and freight bidding process with ease.
