While You're Here...

We did some research and found some places in San Antonio to experience a vibrant mix of culture, cuisine, art and history.

Pick a side in the Puffy Taco War

While in San Antonio, try the most iconic local dish, the puffy taco, at two famous places opened by the brothers Ray and Henry Lopez and so loved by residents: Henry's Puffy Tacos and Ray's Drive Inn. Time to determine where your allegiance lies.

Make like a big shot at the Menger Hotel Bar

Established in 1859, the Menger is the oldest continuously operating hotel west of the Mississippi River. Its greatest claim to fame is its status as the site where in 1898 Teddy Roosevelt recruited the Rough Riders to fight in the Spanish-American War.

Check out the view at the Tower of Americas

The 750ft-tall Tower of the Americas was built for the 1968 World’s Fair and remains the tallest structure in the city. Take in the view from the observation deck, or enjoy drinks and dinner at the revolving Chart House restaurant.
